The George Glass trio of incredibly talented and hysterically funny performers never fail to disappoint!

I thought I had seen it all with last year's FRINGE WORLD show, where they absolutely skewered the Church of Scientology. This year’s Dial M for Mushrooms is a hilarious spoof that leads the audience on an unbelievable, chaotic journey. It’s one that you’d never expect to take on the topic of the Mushroom Poisoning Murders. Afterwards, you’ll never look at a Beef Wellington the same way again.

George Glass's take on this trial of The Mushroom Murderer focuses on the backroom deliberations of three jurors: a pregnant woman, a priest, and a bus driver. They all start off reasonably enough with dry-run guilty / not-guilty votes. Things start to unravel as they suffer the challenges, frustrations, prejudices, and emotions that are possible for members of a jury in a murder trial.

Sequestered in the jury room for two weeks, or maybe longer, you see an unhinged trio bring together misogyny, a reluctance to return to work, and the challenges of pregnancy as they weave their way through their meandering thoughts on the accused who served up the mushrooms that led to murder.

Their deliberations and antics are interspersed with comical advertisements by the Mushroom Growers Association. Throw into the mix a Blasphemy Jar, a Talking Stick and cleverly written words for pop songs as they play the guitar, drums, and keyboard.

It’s easy to see how the detective work of a jury might spiral into never-ending circles of thoughts and words. Will they reach a judgment? Will they have to come back on Monday?!

Run, don't walk and book in to see this show; it’s a hoot!
