Impromptunes brings Impromptunes – The Completely Improvised Musical to the Pleasure Garden at The Gold Digger for this FRINGE WORLD Perth 2026 season!

The incredible performers that graced the stage from the Impromptunes crew included: Imogen Whittaker, Brenna Glazebrook, Alexia Brinsley, Ian Andrew, and Morgan Phillips, with the musical improvisational talent of keyboardist Jem Sherwill and Jack Hill on the drums.

From the beginning of the production, the audience is placed in the driver’s seat by being asked the most important of questions: What is the title of this musical?

With an improvised musical and different title every night, the incredible performers presented their skills by instantly locking in together and giving the performance of a lifetime - all thanks to Pinball.

As the story began building, exploring themes of unrequited love and family dynamics, leading up to a birthday party at an arcade, the performers and musicians matched each other’s energies so smoothly and perfectly that it seemed like the performance was rehearsed beforehand, which shows just how incredible this crew is and how much effort and training have been applied to their productions.

An important occurrence that added extra emphasis to the musical part of the night was the moments where the performers returned to the stage to become the ensemble or the backing vocals for the performers who were already improvising a song on stage, upping the energy of every song with additional movement and hilarity.

Throughout the entire night, the audience was engaged and laughing in their seats, watching these incredible performers act and sing their hearts out, and left the audience entranced and excited up until the end of the show.

If musical theatre and improvisation are something you enjoy, then this is the show for you!
