Seeing Just Business... was one of those Fringe moments where you walk in thinking, “Okay, acrobatics and juggling; let’s see…” and walk out genuinely impressed. This isn’t just circus skills thrown together, it’s tight, clever and has lots of heart.
Let’s get straight to it; the juggling in this show is the best I’ve ever seen. And that is really saying something. After nine years of Fringefeed reviewing and seeing a lot of juggling acts, I honestly thought I’d seen it all. But the precision, timing and sheer range of tricks pulled off on stage were jaw-dropping.
What really surprised me, and delighted me, was the ballroom dancing. I would never have thought to choose a ballroom-led show for myself, but it worked here. It was a joy to see such technical dance blended so naturally with circus skills, and it almost felt like I was in the crowd at Dancing with The Stars.
A quick word of warning if you’re booking tickets: if you’re a woman sitting right at the front, be aware that crowd participation is a lot, in a fun way, but still a bit intimidating if it’s not your thing. The performers are so playful and present with the audience that you will feel like part of the show.
Music sets the perfect tone from the outset. It’s poppy, engaging, and gives you that night-out buzz before a single trick happens. You can tell how much the performers love what they do; their chemistry feeds every bit of energy in the room. In a festival full of exciting shows, this one stands out as both technically brilliant and genuinely fun.
