Parler de Seins (literally, Talking About Breasts) is a hot, smoky, French-inspired cabaret that gently ushers its audience into the world of burlesque and live jazz, underscored by a playful comedic edge. Opening with moody lighting and a distinctly Parisian undertone, the show begins with demure, seductive movements that immediately set an intimate and alluring atmosphere.

Led by Naomi in her first self-produced work and FRINGE WORLD debut, the performance feels both confident and refreshingly personal. Her vocals, supported by an exceptional live jazz band, move seamlessly between classic cabaret and jazz standards. For those new to jazz or burlesque, the inclusion of burlesque history is an enlightening touch. What starts as restrained choreography with dancers moving gracefully across the stage (almost like burlesque fairies) gradually builds to a joyful, full-bodied finale complete with tassel spinning le seins. It is burlesque that feels celebratory, sexy and never gratuitous.

Naomi’s warmth and enthusiasm are infectious, making the audience feel genuinely welcome throughout. Audience interaction is lively but not forced, with Naomi, Red Mama and Luna flirting their way through the crowd, inviting participation. My highlight of the show was the audience members being invited onstage, where people of all ages, backgrounds and dance styles came together, cheek to cheek, side step to side step, spinning and twirling (and I may even have seen some sprinkler action) to the music.

Parler de Seins is a confident celebration of real bodies, joy and timeless French cabaret flair.
