Broken Wheel at DADAA is a clever, engaging theatre performance. The performance begins with the voice of a young child speaking about the relationship between a mother and child and how it shapes the person you become. It is a heart-warming start, I chuckled, awed and felt sad.

The story then follows the lives of two young people and their relationship with their mothers. The teenagers' lives are connected, but not in the way you first think.

There are 4 actors: a mother and daughter and a mother and son. The acting is superb. The teenage son and his mother, in particular, are a stand-out. Their relationship, I’m sure hitting close to home for many, beautifully portraying the ups and downs of being a teenager living at home, funny at times, heart-wrenching and frustrating. Two people on different pages, wanting opposite things - the mother needing love and the teenager needing space.

An absolute must-see. Highly recommend!
