The youth of today love John Farnham.

There’s no denying that the songs of Australian music icon John Farnham are timeless. Young Jayda grew up in a musical household listening to the music her parents enjoyed. Naturally, she became a fan of this music too.

Age of Reason - A Love Letter to Coming of Age and John Farnham is a debut solo cabaret show for singer Jayda D’Agostino. Jayda’s love and passion for the music of John Farnham is so pure and infectious.

Jayda took us on a journey through her life experiences while relating them beautifully to the impact that John Farnham’s music had on her. Themes explored in the show included growing up, falling in love, life’s pressures, long-distance relationships, resilience, freedom, loss and finding your voice.

Jayda was supported by a 4-piece band including Alex Barker on the drums, Lucy Browning playing the bass, Josh Fairweather on guitar, Jasper Lambert playing the keys, and Hannah Reader & Maya Surjan supplying backing vocals.

A special mention must go to the use of original choreography and audience participation in the song 'Two Strong Hearts'. Also, for the coolness factor of seeing a keytar played live during the song 'Playing To Win'.

Something that was so special about all of the performers in this show was their age. It was an absolute delight seeing so many young people working together to share their passion for music from the generations before them. Not only was there a deep respect for the original studio vocals of John Farnham, but Jayda also tapped into some renditions of his live vocals.

Jayda is a natural on stage. A truly gifted performer who genuinely engages with the audience.

This show is of an Olympic gold medal standard and is not to be missed!
