I seriously can’t fault Golden Gay Time! This is a must-see, whether you identify as LGBTQIA+ or not. It was relatable to everyone, commenting on some more serious issues in our world, but in a light-hearted tone.

Each of the four comedians were confident in their style and involved the audience. If a joke didn’t land, the save certainly did. It wasn’t the kind of crowd work that makes you nervous, the kind where you think “oh, please don’t call on me”, but the kind you would WANT to be involved in.

The crowd was laughing for almost the entire show at the hilarious anecdotes, from odd encounters at coffee shops to red-carding rude strangers on the street. The humour was both self-deprecating and heartfelt. I could feel that everyone felt welcome and comfortable in the crowd. The comedians interacted with the audience like a friend would, adding to the welcoming environment.

I really would go see this again! Definitely a must-see for FRINGE WORLD 2026.
