The wonderful thing about FRINGE WORLD is the opportunity to experience International performers who have travelled down under to try their luck on an Aussie audience and sense of humour. It later came out that it’s also a good excuse to avoid the English bleak weather.
The second wonderful thing is visiting lots of different establishments around the area. On this occasion, the Be Merry Comedy Club is tonight’s experience. A boutique bar down a short alleyway. A cosy place well suited to this type of comedy.
From the minute we are greeted by Nicole, she has our attention. She has dazzling eyes and a very infectious smile. We are all in. There was a period of audience interaction with those heralding from, yes, England, discussing the pros and cons of the area, and when they escaped. It became clear that, in relationships, no man has ever swept our MC away. It’s a surprise because I only just met her and she clearly has a lot of fun with any discussion.
I feel that with lots of crowd interaction, we may have missed out on a story or two. This left us wanting more.
To spend an hour listening to Nicole is a most enjoyable experience. So grab a drink at this cosy establishment and enjoy the show. I did.
Warning to available men. Nicole might focus on you a bit more!
