Grab a drink and head upstairs at the Universal Bar for a perfect venue to interact with the performers. Tip: Keep your head low if you don’t want to be part of the show.

Up comes Darius Davis, the main man. Immediately, he interacts with the crowd. If you thought you were going to escape his scanning eyes, you’re wrong. Darius introduces a flatmate of his from the old country, England. Immediately, we start to wonder about his sexual orientation, and yes, it just keeps getting worse with doubts as the stories progress. The segment ends with further innuendos.

The next act recounts how he earned his maturity and became a free spirit after ending a relationship of many years. The third fellow seemed to enjoy his visit to Thailand a little too much on his way to Perth, whilst the final comedian of the night really wanted to give “no go“ sexual advice to the younger players. The jokes were risqué but not offensive, and the audience interaction worked well for the fellows.

It was not hard to come out smiling and quite amused, and it was a good way to spend an hour at a fringe show at a reasonable price. I might even use a joke or two.
