If you love Irish humour, then you’ll love this comedic duo. Their show is called the Best of Irish Comedy for a reason. Ian Burke and Mary Bourke, both hail from Ireland, bring a taste of their home to Australia with hilarious jokes and great banter.
Mary starts with some warm-up jokes to keep the audience engaged and comfortable. She tells the audience a variety of stories about the cultural differences between Australia and Ireland, especially with slang and phrases. Puffer vest and HR jokes in particular made everyone in the room crack up.
Ian continues to keep the audience rolling in laughter, recalling some of his fondest memories of his life back in his hometown. Each story had the audience in stitches, especially the dark jokes.
Although the crowd was quite small, they were interactive with the audience. Everyone in the room was able to connect and relate to each of the jokes Ian and Mary made.
You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy the show, as Ian and Mary made sure that everyone in the audience understood the Irish jokes and the cultural references. This show is well worth a watch, and one not to miss!
