I must confess – I am not a fan of Bridgerton, Jane Austen, or quite frankly anything period related, and I will only be subjecting myself to the new Wuthering Heights movie for Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. However, if BS Productions wants to do a show that’s a period piece - I’m all in. Improv RPG Presents: High Society is a brand-new show by the brilliant minds that brought you Improv RPG Presents: Dungeons & Dragons and Improv RPG Presents: Call of Cthulhu, and it does not disappoint.

For many years I have been a fan of the cast in this series and have made it a point to come to their shows each season. They have a knack for world-building and audience engagement that is genuine and encompassing. This show in particular even more so. High Society brings about new mechanics, new settings, and four characters all vying for the top spot on the social ladder. It’s the perfect blend of orchestrated chaos, backed by an orchestra, with fake decorum and a hint of a murderous glint.

There’s always something delightful about going to a BS Productions show, seeing people who love what they do performing on stage. And we love watching it (at least I know I do). I strongly recommend that if you are able to attend, don’t hesitate, get yourself to the Subiaco Arts Theatre! If you can’t make one of the High Society showings, then check out their other shows, which run this week and next!
