Bush Chook–A young couple stands together against a bright pink and orange backdrop with a stylised yellow sun. The woman, wearing a plaid skirt and white top, leans her head affectionately on the man’s chest as they hold hands in a slow-dance pose. The man wears a cowboy hat, white singlet, and jeans, looking off into the distance. The scene has a warm, nostalgic, rural-romance feel.

Bush Chook

If a beer cracks in the bush and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Really well done from both a writing and performance perspective. Thought provoking and left us in conversation and reflection afterwards. I don’t want to give too much away but the show deals with some heavy themes in a very accessible way. The way that the narrative unfolds paints a complex and nuanced picture of relationship, vulnerability, connection and control. Would recommend - great that this is showing at Fringe!
