Simone is beyond brilliant and this was an experience that was incredible, emotionally moving and expertly sequenced. She really puts her all into this performance and raised the bar for what a vocal jazz show should be.

What a performance!! Simone lit up the stage like a Hollywood Starlet. The music really takes you back and was performed so beautifully. Her wit and sparkle had us laughing hard between songs - we were thoroughly entertained! Would highly recommend.

Simone Craddock's Jazz at the Movies! at the Ellington Jazz Club was an exceptional showcase of what happens when jazz meets cinema.

With a talented band backing her - including the incredibly skilled Russell Holmes on grand piano and guitar, Zac Grafton on double bass, and the outstanding Bronton Ainsworth on percussion - the performance effortlessly blended classic jazz standards with beloved film music.

From the smoky allure of film noir to the glitzy glamour of Hollywood's golden age, Simone Craddock took us on a musical journey spanning decades and genres. The setlist included well-known tracks such as Hello Dolly!, It Had to Be You (from When Harry Met Sally), Blues in the Night, All of Me, and the iconic Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.

Simone’s vocals were the standout of the evening, her rich voice resonating beautifully in the lower registers, adding depth and emotion to every song.

Russell Holmes, aside from his incredible work on the grand piano, brought an unexpected treat with his gentle guitar playing during one of the softer numbers, showcasing his versatility as a musician. Zac Grafton’s bass lines were a perfect complement to the rhythm, and Bronton Ainsworth’s percussion added a layer of excitement and sophistication to the performance.

The crowd was clearly appreciative, and the Ellington Jazz Club proved to be the perfect venue for such an intimate and captivating night of music.

For jazz lovers, this is a must-see show — a seamless blend of great jazz, iconic movie tunes, and a truly talented ensemble.
