Alexas Armstrong, with a great crew of dancers performs to a slew of Britney classics spanning her incredible career, reminding you of why we all fell in love with her in the first place! Dripping in sequins, and rocking some iconic dance moves straight from the music videos themselves, Alexas Armstrong is the perfect Britney impersonator. Showcasing her signature blend of high energy dance and camp humour and supported by some awesome guest performers, Britney: Live at Fringe was the perfect addition to a girls night out!
Alexas is a true professional, getting the crowd involved from the opening number, encouraging the packed room to sing along, dance in our chairs and it was impossible not to get involved! Opening with the absolute banger Circus, all the hits were present throughout the show, with Baby One More Time, Toxic, I’m a Slave 4 U and Sometimes being standouts. Guest performer and showgirl Ruby Lai brought her signature pole prowess with a riveting routine to Break the Ice, before Alexas took on Britney’s iconic cover of I Love Rock and Roll, showing off her own pole dancing skills and flexibilty!
Later in the evening BarbieQ donned her blonde wig and joined Alexas Armstrong on stage for a sensual game of cat and mouse reminiscent of the music video before recreating their steamy kiss from the 2003 VMA’s. A tone change with a ballad section brought Alexas’ camp sense of humour to the forefront, hamming it up for I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman had the crowd cackling along. Supported by a group of talented dancers, each played their part, showcasing their individual talents during the quick costume changes and performing cohesively during the group numbers.
Whilst Britney: Live at Fringe was a one night only performance, you’d be crazy to miss any of the Kayoss Factory’s other shows!
