Kings of Boylesque: Legacy
"This is a must see! From the moment you enter the room, to the moment you give a standing ovation, this show is positively fantastic!" ★★★★★ FringeFeed, 2023 Everyone's favourite Boylesque show is back at FRINGE WORLD 2024! Hosted by "your boy from ballajura" Karl Kayoss, featuring hand picked kings from all over the country that will make you question your sense of being and make you ask yourself, " What is a Disco c*ck?". Each with more awards and accolades than you can poke a stick at, this show is a celebration of all kinds of sexy bodies and the art of burlesque and tease. With plenty of rhinestones, glitter, and flesh, King of Boylesque is ready to show you what burlesque means to us and cement our Legacy!
The first official event for Karl Kayoss’ new venture The Kayoss Factory, but never fear - the ‘boy from Ballajura’ still delivers the same amazing amalgamation of talent, skill, and humour in a well-polished show!
This show brings together award-winning Kings from all over Australia to strut their stuff. If Boylesque is your thing then there is something for everyone! These are serious (and seriously skilled) performers who don’t take themselves seriously. It looks like they are having a ball up on stage and it was a sheer joy to watch and witness!
You sort of get an idea of the ‘kind’ of people you will see at a Boylesque show hosted at the iconic Connections nightclub. Well, that idea was blown out of the water because there were people of all ages, genders, backgrounds and cultures there and every single one was laughing, cheering and clapping along caught up in the moment.
Special mention to the men in the audience who got up during the audience participation, you were amazing.
Hats off to the performers (and the music and lighting techs and the poor guy who had to dry the floor with a towel as a ‘reward’ for his lap dance). This is a really professional show, great fun, really well-collated performances and the skill of the performers? Well, you can see why they have all won so many awards!
Looking forward to what Kings has to offer next year!
