Cabaret Le Papillon is a FRINGE WORLD Festival institution, with their iconic blue butterfly returning for another unmissable season in 2022. Papillon, being the French word for butterfly, gives new and upcoming burlesque performers the opportunity to come out of their cocoons, spread their wings and debut their transformations in an inclusive, body positive and supportive environment. With a truly unique lineup of busty, bawdy broads and a special guest from the Perth burlesque community each night, you never know what you will be thrilled, titillated and tantalised with.

From the moment Whisky A’More appears on the stage the audience is absolutely hooked. As a veteran of FRINGE WORLD Festival she is a fabulous MC, charming the crowd in between acts with her sexy, smoky Scottish accent, jovial stories and copious amounts of curves. With a mentor as inspiring as Whisky, its no wonder these performers have transformed themselves into the fun, flirty and sometimes camp performances you have the honour of watching.

With performers that showcase each and every corner of the varied burlesque landscape, the audience was captivated, watching every hair flick, high kick, body roll and sequinned striptease in inspired awe. Ranging from a literal murder on the dance floor, to a seductive game of tennis and a very special performance from reigning Burlesque Muse Perth 2021 Madame Demi Diva there really was something to whet everyone’s appetite and leave them wanting more.
