If you could attend only one drag performance (even though you should binge at Fringe) let this be The One. You get not one, not two, but five of the top drag performers, not just of this entire town, but of this entire west side of the whole continent: Barbie Q, Alexas Armstrong, Veronica Jean Jones, Ruby Jewels, and Fay Rocious. They give new meaning to the term Fab Five!

That’s saying a lot from a “regular” at Connections nightclub, the venue of this showstopper. “Regular” defined: a transgender lesbian with my default shaved head, usual sleeveless cut off shirt, and silver glitter trans pride vegan Converse shoes.

And there are many like me in this audience transcending both genders, swinging our hands wildly in the air as if we definitely care!!! Whether LGQTA or heterosexual, you will feel uplifted, spiritualized, and energized from this action packed hour which is suitable for all ages.

Literally every seat was taken, and some audience members even had to stand while many swigged champagne by the glass if not the bottle as if THIS is New Year’s Eve, as if 2021 only officially begins tonight.

Barbie Q, the alpha drag princess, well, she’s that Barbie girl, in HER Barbie world; we’re just somehow for now during this show welcome in it. In her actual words, “This is party central.“

Alexas Armstrong, always easy on the eyes, armed with her usual six inches of steel (coming from her heels) wows us with special gymnastics that can’t be found anywhere on the internet - I checked. So she may be the best on Earth at this talent.

Veronica Jean Jones (my personal nickname for her is Red Pill) is everybody’s wake up call.

Ruby Jewels inspires jealousy with her impossibly thin perfection and Fay Rocious, who won Drag Factory in 2012, is every bit the Italian stallion.

Because FRINGE WORLD staff was invited to be a Space Cowboy for tonight’s theme, as the only official Fringefeed reviewer for this event, I take my cowgirl hat off to these fab five!!!
