Abs flab
Recently single Gill decided the best way to get over a man was to get under one, she embraced the weird world of dating apps primarily to write a show for the Edinburgh Festival and to get a few hot dates. Gill didn't know that there was a shortage of women on dating apps and despite her middle-aged status she was quite in demand . After 20 years of marriage, the dating landscape has changed and Gill was curious. 6 months later, what a time she's had. She has conquered her fears of being naked. Gill has written a hilarious show about dating, marriage and sex. Join Gill as she shares her raunchy, ridiculous adventures and how she ended up at a sex dungeon on the Gold Coast, and how she escaped. Mummy’s on Tinder, kids deal with it! A wild and uplifting show that will bring together everyone.
I laughed so hard watching stand-up comedian, Gill Cordiner, perform her show “Abs Flab” that I got a stitch in my side.
Don’t let Gill’s glamourous look fool you – she has a potty Scottish mouth and isn’t afraid to use it. Granted, she did warn us from the outset that the show would be full of swearing and talk of sex.
The show is a hilarious tale of Gill’s life over the past couple of years. Divorced after two decades of marriage (to two separate blokes), Gill was sick of her sexless life and went on a bit of a sexual rampage to explore the other fish in the sea.
She initially thought at the age of fifty eight she wouldn’t be popular on the dating apps, but was pleasantly surprised when lots of young men started lining up.
Often dating fellas thirty years her junior, she relays her entertaining experiences of dating with such an age gap. There was one tradie who pointed at her bits and yelled “vintage poon” because she refused to get a Brazilian wax like the other 20-year-old somethings. No loss for Gill though, this guy didn’t mind her “old school” presentation in the slightest… quite the opposite.
As for her gags about visiting a sex dungeon with a guy she encountered off Tinder… I’ll let you see the show to hear that story firsthand.
There was hardly a moment that went by throughout the one hour show where the audience wasn’t cracking up. I especially relished her joke about how sex with her was like “poking a trifle” after giving birth to two kids and going through menopause.
There were certainly parts us girls can relate to – although my husband enjoyed it just as much!
