Grab your lifejacket because MOTORBOAT is setting sail, and it is an absurdly wacky ride!

Mel McGlensey, high off an award-winning tour at Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Hollywood Fringe, London Clown Fest and Melbourne Fringe; has brought her newest work to Perth! Mel McGlensey is MOTORBOAT blends physical comedy, clown, burlesque and character improv together in an unexpected but dazzling celebration of creativity!

McGlensey takes audiences on a vigorous sea voyage of self-discovery, stupidity, and unfiltered hilarity. The premise is as ridiculous as it is genius: part woman, part boat, and full clown, McGlensey’s ‘Motorboat’ ventures out of the harbour’s safety, against the wishes of ‘captain daddy’ to brave the open waters for the first time. Of course, with a full storm of nautical puns and cheeky innuendos.

Audience participation is seamlessly woven into the performance, from simply asking spectators what kind of boat they are to full-fledged involvement in “checking the boat for barnacles”. McGlensey has a natural stage presence with an uncanny ability to put the crowd at ease. McGlensey’s complete dedication to her craft and charisma leaves crowds begging for more!

The show maintains a tight structure while leaving room for spontaneity. The improvisational elements make each performance unique, ensuring no two shows are ever the same. It truly shows McGlensey’s talent in her ability to adapt and take every audience suggestion in her stride!

MOTORBOAT is a show that embraces the ridiculous in the best possible way. It’s playful, provocative, and utterly unhinged—in all the right ways. If you’re looking for a late-night spectacle filled with laughs, nautical nonsense, and sheer brilliance, this is a voyage you don’t want to miss.
