Milo Standards: Penis De Milo
The (drag) king of comedy is coming to FRINGE WORLD! The terrifying alter-ego of feminist comedian Kate Smurthwaite unzips the trousers of truth and lays it on the table. With dating tips from his hit podcast, The Schlong Game and masculinity so toxic Woodside would pump it into the sea, Milo Standards is here to explain to the feminists how they've been doing it all wrong. You're welcome, ladies... Satirising the TikTok generation of "men's activists", from their bizarre approach to wellness to their aggressive dating advice and obsession with Alpha status, Penis De Milo is the show Andrew Tate would write if he was funny. Sure, some of the jokes are dark and twisted, but think how much worse it would be if it was a woman doing them... Catch Milo Standards now before he gets CANCELLED.
In its Australian premiere, Milo Standards: Penis De Milo has exploded onto the stage at the Flaming Galah in Fremantle as part of FRINGEWORLD 2025, and like an overly fermented bottle of home brew, it certainly does make a bang!
Milo Standards, the alter-ego of UK Feminist comedian Kate Smurthwaite, is certainly no feminist himself. But, have no fear ladies, as host of the hit dating podcast The Schlong Game, Mr. Milo Standards is an expert (just ask him), and thus, he is brim full of advice on how we women can improve ourselves to snag a quality man, just like him. Although his worldview is undoubtedly warped, Milo’s Socratic dialogue is definitely funny and thought-provoking, keeping the large and diverse audience in stitches throughout.
Beware though, just like the inspiration for the pun in its title, the show does not pull any punches. However, your perseverance will be very richly rewarded by some hilarious pearls of wisdom pertaining to everything from international relations to health and wellness. But no spoilers—you will just have to see the show to find out what they are. Just rest assured that this masterclass in sticking it to the man (or the men’s activists at least) is well worth the cost of a ticket.
Through the prism of her ludicrous character Milo Standards, Drag King Kate Smurthwaite has cleverly managed to define and call out toxic masculinity. Firmly holding up a mirror for the Andrew Tate’s of the world to see and daring them to recognise themselves within it. Whether or not they will, or if they even can, remains to be seen. And so does this show.
So, what are you waiting for?
