If you’re looking for an afterparty to round out a perfect night out at Fringe World, the FREAK OUT is the place to be.
Hosted by the Party Prince of Perth, Flynn V, FREAK OUT has come leaps and bounds since it first opened at The Rechabite a few years ago, taking over venue’s main hall with an explosive extravaganza of talent.
FREAK OUT: THE AFTERPARTY delivers exactly what’s on the label, as Flynn V lays out their mission to reclaim the word ‘freak’ and celebrate what makes us different. Set to a throbbing 90s soundtrack, the whole performance oozes with the essence of a raging afterparty.
As the evening unfolds, each star takes to the stage to grace us with their sensational skills, and there’s a little bit of everything in store. Drag favourite Ginava kicked off with a fresh, electric dance number to Regurgitator’s +/-, and both Alfie and Lotta L’amour wowed the crowd with their seductive burlesque acts.
Milo Hartill brought the house down with a roof-raising rendition of a Crystal Waters classic, Natalie Oakes raised the temperature with her flaming hot act, and Karl Kayoss displayed their outstanding skill on the aerial straps with his grungy acrobatic performance.
For the grand finale, Ruby Lai took to the skies with a mesmerising, graceful pole performance that had the audience in complete awe – a perfect crescendo to this afterparty.
Flynn V is a warm and welcoming host and MC, keeping the energy high as he wove salacious tales between each act. Not to be underestimated though, Flynn also proves his skill as a dancer, as the whole cast come together for two jaw-dropping group performances.
