The Briefs boys are back, and they’ve brought a new show packed with stunts, surprises and just a little bit of shade. Briefs: Dirty Laundry is a delectable assortment of circus, aerial, gymnastics, drag, boylesque and comedy. In the Briefs audience, the outside world melts away and, for an hour, you are in a bubble of frivolity and fun.

The host, Fez Faanana, opened the show with wit, energy and charm. Faanana, inherently likeable, connects easily with the audience and has the ability to get everyone laughing straight out of the gate.

The cast is a catalogue of characters, all of which have talent oozing out of their g-strings. The stunts are impressive and (I am sure) require great skill to execute. While not everything went to plan, the performers were ever the professionals and covered slip ups seamlessly.

While each performance throughout the show is noteworthy, the best thing about Briefs: Dirty Laundry is that you never quite know what is going to happen. The originality and distinctiveness of a Briefs show is what makes it a cut above the rest. In Briefs: Dirty Laundry, the audience is swept up and taken on a wild ride; you just have to hold on for dear life and hope you don’t get too wet.

For those who are unfamiliar with the works of Briefs Factory, it would be prudent to know that their work can be quite risqué, and Dirty Laundry is not different, so it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But if you are looking for a show that will have you laughing, audibly gasping and leave you wanting more, Briefs: Dirty Laundry is a Fringe must-see.

It is hard to fit Briefs: Dirty Laundry into any kind of box. It is a little bit circus, a little bit drag, a little bit boylesque and a lot of a good time. This is the kind of show that will set your night up on a high.
