Alcohol really is good for you! The Fringe Show that’s been sold-out five years running, and for good reason!

Four stellar comedians have been given one task: to keep a room full of Aussies, from the slightly inebriated to the stretcher cases, laughing for over an hour straight. How do they accomplish this? A devilishly brilliant round robin of quick-witted, no holds barred zingers. The talent of this booze-fueled hilarity comes from all corners of the globe, including local water hole heroes, but despite the jump in accents from trailer park Liverpool to true blue Aussie, no joke gets lost in translation.

Host Kyle Legacy dishes out the best of punchy British comedy to the audience while still hitting that cheeky, ocker sense of Aussie humour that has you almost spilling your drinks and wetting yourself laughing. But by the time you’ve barely finished recovering from one joke, the next act is quick to hit the ground running and keep both your smile muscles and your hand-eye coordination working full time.

Not to mention the absolutely crazy crowd work! Everything and everyone – audience and bartenders included – are free game for one fun-loving piss take after the other. The whole atmosphere feels like you’re chilling at the pub with your mates and kicking back with more than a few laughs, often at your own or someone else’s expense – all in good faith, of course.

With a bevvy in one hand and the other holding your sides to keep from you from falling off your chair laughing, this show will have you legless one way or another, and trust me when I say that you’ll be all the better for it. Alcohol is good for you is an absolute banger of a show and a top-notch night out for both Fringe veterans and initiates alike.
