Good Lift is a truly unique experience that takes you behind the scenes of the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip.

The experience begins as the audience is guided into the depths of the museum to the waiting doors of a huge industrial elevator. The drama is heightened as the lights dim and the elevator doors open to reveal the entertainment of the night: Kate Pass and the Kohesia Ensemble.

An eight-piece band which showcases traditional Persian instruments to create dreamy sounds. The band introduced me to instruments like the ney, saz and oud which each musician lovingly described before playing.

After the first set Kate and the band invites the audience to meet their remaining members upstairs as the doors to the elevator close.

The show only becomes more enjoyable as the audience joined the band upstairs to sit among the dinosaurs, sharks and ibis birds while being serenaded by this fantastic ensemble.
