Gendermess is a collective of club kids, gender f*** cross-dressers and performance artists. Founded in Perth, Australia, 2013, Gendermess’ mission is to bring an alternative style of drag and performance to the foreground.
We aim to mess with the gender spectrum through a creative spectacle, in a subversive abstract way.
Ginava is the head of this family of misfits and the founder of Gendermess Productions. This shapeshifting monster is one not to be afraid of. Their twisted take on the art of miming, clowning and theatre gives this morphing entity a unique flare.
Gendermess’ work has been featured by ‘Transformation with James St. James’, Roisin Murphy’s Hairless Toys Tour, Art Ball, Outer Body and Sydney Mardi Gras.
