Golden West is the rebirth of a quintessential West Australian brand. Over 120 years ago in 1896 J.J. Wallis established the Golden West Aerated Water Company which operated out of a large factory in Leederville.
After setting up a pilot brewery within a couple of hundred metres of Golden West’s original location and armed with the desire to bring locally produced craft beverages to the greater Perth area, the founders felt that embodying and rejuvenating the Golden West brand was a key ingredient for the success of a local Perth-based brewing company. The adoption of the original logo pays homage to this idea of craftsmanship across locally sourced Leederville products.
The Subiaco brewery and restaurant encourages share plate casual dining with a choice of a large sun-filled beer garden or more traditional table dining experience. Open from 11am till late Wednesday through to Sunday to cater long lunches, as well as those wanting to knock off early.
