Based on the book they named themselves after, Daisy Hildyard's The Second Body, the company will use their signature blend of live music, sound-processing and storytelling to grapple with the fraught personal and societal relationships we have with climate change, and a cultural inability to differentiate between the micro and the macro.

Second Body is a new company formed to seek out original ways of fusing theatre with live music, storytelling and science, founded in 2019 by theatremaker and songwriter Max Barton, and composer and sound artist Jethro Cooke.
