Actor and theatre-maker Rajan Sharma trained in London, appearing regularly on UK stage and screen (incl. indie feature film Hackney’s Finest). He is also a member of KinkyFish theatre collective; a community of international creatives founded in 2008 dedicated to collaborative, innovative theatre-making, and the provision of a platform for emerging writers, achieving critical success at UK theatre spaces, and arts festivals across the world. In his debut as both writer and solo performer, Sharma’s ambition is to tour The Mariner’s Song to schools and rural communities alongside the larger arts festivals; seeking to promote inclusivity, maximise access to the arts, and share the power of storytelling in its most essential form with new and diverse audiences throughout the UK and beyond.
