About this event

Painting sessions are all the rage right now: paint with chocolate... charcuterie... biccies... We get it. Lots of them come with food.

And hey - more power to them. They are all fantastic. We've even tried a few ourselves.

But here at Djinda Boodja, we have a different idea on the whole painting session notion: Piano & Paint.

Rock up to our Arts Centre and relax. We won't tell you what to paint. Or what not to paint. There are no prefab canvasses here, either. In fact, if you don't want to paint on canvas, you don't have to. We have old LPs, wood and more from which you can choose.

At Piano & Paint, we have created a relaxing environment with live classical piano music for you to enjoy whilst you chill out and paint whatever you want on whatever we have at hand. No instructions provided.

Djinda Boodja - Star Country

Djinda Boodja is the arts and culture organisation of the historic Abmusic Aboriginal Corporation. The Corporation was founded in 1986 and is the nation's only Indigenous Music Corporation. Now expanded to fully support art and culture, it offers professional concerts and music workshops, art sessions at our Djinda Boodja Art Centre, Noongar language classes with our language centre and a federally-funded indigenous contemporary musician mentorship program with our partners, WAYJO. We love being an integral part of the fabric of Australian life. Come and check us out!
