About this event

What happens when a musical theatre performer (Morgan Cowling) and an opera singer (Caitlin Cassidy) arrive in the Big Apple? Full of romantic expectations, their dreams of fame and fortune are quickly shattered in all the best ways possible. From college to the audition circuit these girls have been hoofing and hollering through hell and back and they want to give you all the juiciest gossip over a cosmo or two. An eclectic mix of the Great American Songbook, Opera and Musical Theatre, this show will be as grand and as gritty as New York itself.

"Morgan’s singing is absolutely outstanding, and her comic timing is superb."- Kimberley Shaw, Stage Whispers

"Caitlin Cassidy’s blowsy, French-spouting Older Woman was both heartbreaking and hilarious."- Joanne Sydney Lessner, Opera News

Presented by:
Caitlin Cassidy

Caitlin Cassidy is a regular to both the operatic and cabaret stages. She has performed most recently as a principal artist with Opera Australia, West Australian Opera and the State Opera of South Australia in both mainstage productions and educational and regional tours. However, Caitlin is also an established cabaret artist and no stranger to FRINGE WORLD having enjoyed successes in her shows "Let's Misbehave", "Disgraceful Cougars" and "Disgraceful Cougars II: Bound and Gagged". Caitlin studied Classical Music at WAAPA where she was the Barbara McLeod Most Outstanding Graduate Student and the winner of the Julie Michael Cabaret Award Winner. She studied Opera at Mannes College, New York City where she also appeared with the New York Lyric Opera.
