About this event

Venice. An ephemeral place of passage for lovers and lonely souls.

The Gondolier knows the city well, but it is enigmatic. Tonight, he is lost.
In a city of non-Euclidean geometry, you intend to travel from point A to point B, but find yourself in a completely different place. A feeling of complete disorientation.
All you have to guide you is a fleeting sliver of the Moon.

In a debut work from WAAPA graduates Aidan Puglielli and Deirdre Khoo, Lady Moon and the Gondolier look to the stars above and spin a story.
Note: fairy lights used in lieu of stars

'Lady Moon and the Gondolier' is cabaret meets clowning, crossed with mime and transcendental song; thrillingly strung together in a festive guerilla-style production.

Presented by:
Aidan Puglielli & Deirdre Khoo

Aidan Puglielli:
An Italian-Australian dual national, Aidan is a graduate of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre; 2018). Aidan has narrated children’s audiobooks and produced radio for Vision Australia and JOY 94.9.

Deirdre Khoo:
Hailing originally from Singapore, Deirdre Khoo is a WAAPA Music Theatre student (class of 2020).
