About this event

Chronic pain, waiting rooms, and unsolicited medical advice: this gutsy new circus is a triumph in finding the humour in complex and critical conversations around our healthcare.

Circus has never felt so frustratingly cathartic as in this show by boldly vulnerable bodies, who shout with science and flip with sharp comedic empathy. This new collective is led by creatives with chronic pain, illness and disability, making this the show created by and for the folks who can’t just "Get Well Soon".

Whether you’ve seen too many doctors, you are a doctor, or you love someone who's going through it: "Get Well Soon" will empower and advocate the strength behind a diagnosis (and the circus of getting one).

“Inspiring, intelligent, funny - and painfully empathetic.” Circus Oz

Presented by:
Get Well Circus

Get Well Circus is a new collective of artists founded in Naarm, who scattered to different states across Australia and held together by a mutual passion and Zoom connection. Founded by West Aussie award-winning creative producer Samantha Martin, who sought to create new work from her experiences of chronic pain, Get Well boasts an impressive host of acclaimed, highly-skilled performers; boldly vulnerable storytellers; a heart for social impact; and a subversive, empowering voice that is “inspiring to experience.” Circus Oz.
