Gallus Ceilidh Band offer something new for Perth, they are a high energy "kick in the pants" ceilidh band who mash Scottish jigs & reels with rock & dance beats to get any party going! With half the band steeped in traditional music and the other half in contemporary music, the explosion of energy and fun that results has to be experienced.

Fiddles, pipes, whistles, banjo, electric guitar, keyboard and thumping rock drums will get you doing a Strip the Willow to AC/DC and Aviici, a Boston Two-Step to The Eurythmics, and lots more in between. You can ceilidh dance to them all!

Gallus are an 8-piece Ceilidh Rock band formed in August 2020. Ali MacKerron (smallpipes, highland pipes & vocals) took inspiration from the vibrant Ceilidh scene in Scotland and got together with Fiona Davidson (fiddle), Linda Gauld (fiddle) and Graeme Watt (whistle & fiddle) with the idea of creating a Ceilidh band unlike any other in Perth, mashing trad, rock & dance genres and a focus on having fun on stage and in the audience.

They spent the rest of 2020 building the traditional foundations of their sets and in 2021 added Joe Mullaney (keyboards & vocals), Iain Scotland (drums), Nathan Borona (guitar) and Will Richards (vocals & mandolin) to complete the band and work on the transitions, mashing the genres together.
