About this event

"Who run the world? Girls" Beyonce

Anna-Kat has given birth to her first World Premiere: Femme Fertile. So hold onto your ovaries peoples, 'cause this cow is jumping right into your moon cups…

When 12.3% of the top pop songs are written by XX chromosone carriers, this Femme Fertile is on a mission to celebrate what makes the Femme so mystique. One Voice. Many stories. One piano. Two shows. All original songs. So free them nipples and rattle them dags cause this Witch of East (Bruns)wick is riding that feminist fourth wave right up to the sunny shores of Perth and into the Ellington's glittery lair.

Think Regina Spektor meets Tim Minchin. Pap smears meet male doctors. Planeteers meet your average Joe-(lene).

Presented by:
Anna-Kat

Anna-Kat is a singer/songwriter hailing from an alpaca farm near Mittagong, NSW. The colourful camelid in a family of non-musicians, at six she took up the violin and music became her soulmate. She writes songs because music brings joy.

Graduating from WAAPA in 2015 she’s kicked butt in bands all over; Havana, New York, Dubbo, Denpasar, London, Berlin, Broome and Beijing. She’s self-managed and performed two national tours with her duo TAWLS, released four self-produced singles, three videoclips, co-wrote/produced a song for the ABC kids show ‘Giggle and Hoot’ and in 2018 was nominated for Best Music/Musical at FRINGE WORLD Festival. She received the Marion Thomas Reward for excellence whilst studying at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2019.

"Wouldn't miss this for the world." ★★★★★ Mother Nature & Captain Planet, 2020
