About this event

Drop into the Sunset Veranda and renowned local Artist Fieldey will guide you in using Posca Pens to decorate you own trucker caps (provided free). Or bring your own surf or skate board to paint on - just make sure they're clean and wax free.

Fieldey is well known for her iconic style which blends the retro, effortless cool of old-school tattoo art with elements of pop art and realistic portraiture. Fieldey also brings her love of richly-detailed flora to her artworks, creating unique pieces that explode with colour and life. You can see her distinct work on murals throughout Perth.

This event is run as a free drop-in session. We can work with a maximum of 40 people at any one time. But don't worry, we have food, drinks and live music to entertain anybody who might need to wait.

Presented by:
City of Stirling's Sunset Veranda

Fieldey was born in New Zealand in the 1980s. A move to Norfolk Island as a child kindled her lifelong interest in the ocean. Leaving Norfolk Island in 2001 to study graphic design in Sydney, she spent a few years travelling and working as a graphic artist in London. Upon moving to Perth, Western Australia in 2007, she learned to surf and decided to custom-paint her first surfboard, launching her career as one of the best surf artists in the industry.

Fieldey has been riding the wave of the worldwide street art and mural revival, painting iconic and much-loved murals in Perth (Australia), Valparaíso (Chile), Cartagena and Bogota (Colombia).
