About this event

Electrocity Ensemble presents "Can You Hear Me?". Using loops and samples the 2019 WAM Song of the Year (schools 15-18), winners perform captivating music crisscrossing funky jazzy vibes through to lush layered soundscapes.

"Can You Hear Me?" is a unique show driven by the creative drive of high school students. A collaboration between students and staff from St George's Anglican Grammar School, Electrocity Ensemble explores the innovative potential of traditional instruments in a contemporary electronic world.

Bring the whole family for a night of possibilities, imagination and inspiration.

Presented by:
St George's Anglican Grammar School Music Department

Helping our students find their own ways to create music, and share their experiences with others, is the core of what we do in the St George’s Music Department. The key to the music department at St George’s is openness. The department is open and accessible to the entire school community, staff and students. It’s a welcoming space where people can come and play and where they will always feel safe and valued. Students use their own time to play, hang out and jam. Music brings our school together in a safe place, from classes to lunchtimes and rooftop concerts to FRINGE WORLD performances. Our music department is driven by curiosity and the exploration of ideas; by taking risks, making mistakes and trying again.
