From its origins as a cult gathering for ‘nerd chat’, the Perth Machine Learning Group has grown into a welcoming community of humans teaching computers how to do human-like things. Outside of running weekly events, workshop and real-world projects, a collection of coders, data scientists, artists, and makers have been tinkering in their mad-scientist lair to cross-breed machine learning and art. Releasing the results into the wild at FRINGE WORLD will show Perth what cutting-edge machine learning can do, without having to write code (but if you’re curious, you can join the group and learn how).
BitLit: Machine Poetry Corner
About this event
Machines will never surpass the literary and creative skills of human artists... or will they? A Frankenstein birthed from the Perth Machine Learning Group challenges FRINGE WORLD to a duel of words. Can a machine write poems and stories better than a human can? You be the judge and try your best to outsmart this ARTificial intelligence.
