Money-saving tips to Fringe more in 2021

Ways to save on tickets

You will need a bit of moola to enjoy the Fringe fun, but not as much as you might think.

The average ticket price is a sweet $28 and there are loads of shows to see for under $20. If you get a group of 6+ mates together you can get an even better deal with the Group price.

A basic Fringer will see one or two shows, a Fringe Binger will see four or more and a Fringe Fanatic will compete with themselves to outdo their previous record (in 2020 it was 40).

If you’re in the Binger or Fanatic category you should join the FRINGE WORLD Friends club. The one-off subscription price of $40 pays for itself with Friends saving on average $57 during the Festival through the discounted Friends Frenzy tickets (30% off!) and Friends Night Out tickets (60% off!).

If you don’t mind what you’re seeing but want to get your Fringe fix, then snap a last-minute bargain with Rushtix. These are super limited tickets that are only released on the day of the session.

If there's a venue or artist that you follow on social media you could get lucky and be the first to know when they have a flash sale.

You don't need to save for a fancy dress

Fringe isn’t a wedding; there’s no dress standards (other than you need to wear clothes, thanks).

If you have a fancy outfit that’s in the closet and been gathering dust, grab it out and get dressed to the nines! But super casual is total fine also.

Everyone is welcome at FRINGE WORLD and all fashion styles are welcome too.

Leave some budget for eats and drinks

Make a night of it and save some tummy and purse space for a pre or post show tipple and bite.

Through Fringey Offers we share with you the best offers and discounts from restaurants, bars and other local businesses located near the 100+ Fringe venues.

Find cheap parking and then use the CAT bus

In the CBD you can find some cheap parking if you’re willing to walk a bit or take a free CAT bus

The special FRINGE CAT runs into the evening between Girls School and East Perth. Operating every 15 mins Sun-Thur until 11.15pm and Fri-Sat until 12.30am during the Festival. You can catch the bus from the Perth Busport.
