ARTRAGE CEO Sharon Burgess said that the release of more FRINGE WORLD shows is great news for Western Australians and comes off the back of the McGowan government’s Safe Transition Plan announcement.

“The open border to Western Australia will mean great things for the state, and for FRINGE WORLD it comes into play in the final week of the Festival,” Ms Burgess said.

“We are pleased with the announcement that there will not be any capacity restrictions, which was a big hurdle last year and impacted the financial outcomes of the Festival and our artists. Our artists love the opportunity to play to a full house, and audiences love the vibe as well.”

The full effect of the Safe Transition Plan on FRINGE WORLD is still being evaluated as there are some artists who are impacted by the current border restrictions in place for South Australia and Queensland. This situation may result in some changes or show cancellations, and the Festival will notify ticket holders as soon as more is known. Customers will always be given the option of a refund in the case that a session is cancelled, so that everyone can keep on purchasing tickets with confidence
